About Kansas Court Records

Kansas court records are organized through one unified judicial branch, yet original District Court files remain tied to the county where each case was filed. Municipal, state-agency, corrections, driver, vital, and federal records use other custodians. Finding the right Kansas system first avoids requests to an office that does not hold the record. This private reference site brings those routes together so visitors can identify the correct statewide portal, clerk of the district court in the county, municipal court, sheriff, or agency source.

Why We Built This Site

Kansas gives the public several ways to seek court information, but no single search covers every court and record type. The District Court Public Access Portal supplies statewide district case information. Each of the 105 counties still has a clerk of the district court that keeps local criminal, civil, family, probate, and marriage-license files. Municipal courts keep original city ordinance cases, and sheriffs manage county jail and public warrant information. Statewide systems add another layer: KASPER covers the Kansas Department of Corrections population, KBI compiles Kansas criminal history, KDOR keeps driver records, and KDHE supplies restricted vital certificates. The site organizes those distinct routes without treating one system as a complete statewide archive.

What You Will Find Here

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to any Kansas court, clerk's office, sheriff's office, or state agency. There are real limits to what we can help with:

  • We cannot file paperwork or send records requests on your behalf
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any court document or vital record
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
  • We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now

Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.

Search Partners

Some pages on this site include search boxes powered by third-party providers. Those companies set their own pricing and run their own services. When you use one of those tools and it leads to a paid signup, we may earn a referral fee. That revenue helps keep this site free for visitors. We do not control what those tools charge or what shows up in their results.
