This Is Not a Government Office. Kansas Court Records is a private reference site with no affiliation to the Kansas Judicial Branch, any clerk of the district court, sheriff, municipal court, or state agency. We cannot pull official documents, file paperwork, answer for a court, or issue certified copies. Contact the government office that owns the record.

Need an Official Document?

Kansas has no single statewide clerk address for every record. District Court files remain with the clerk of the district court in the filing county. Use the Kansas county directory for that local office, a county jail or sheriff, or a county-based marriage and probate record. Municipal ordinance cases belong to the named city court.

  • District case files and certified copies: choose the filing county and contact its clerk of the district court
  • Marriage licenses, divorce decrees, probate, and estates: use the county directory for the issuing or filing District Court
  • County jail rosters and local warrant information: contact the county sheriff or the issuing district or municipal court
  • State prison records: search KASPER, operated by the Kansas Department of Corrections
  • Compiled Kansas criminal history: use the KBI Criminal History Record Search
  • Certified marriage and divorce certificates: contact the Kansas Office of Vital Statistics
  • Driver records: follow the Kansas Division of Vehicles record instructions

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation also operates the official Kansas Registered Offender Search. Federal court files belong to the federal clerk and use PACER, while federal inmate locations use the Bureau of Prisons locator.
